It was during her early youth when Emily Rosewood discovered she rather enjoyed the life of a daring archeologist in search for cursed objects or a cunning spy infiltrating the ranks of the evil goblin army. OR, better yet, when an adventurous spirit suited her, she would wait by the seashore bidding her time for the elusive mermaid to swim into her net. How is this possible? Books. She could be anyone, go anywhere depending on her mood for the day. It required her to escape into a world only limited by her imagination. Those early days are still her most cherished memories. Nowadays, you can find the lovely Emily in charge of the most important task in town - running the library.
And it so happens, the town's inventor - Professor MacCrumb - gifted her with a handy (perpetually grumpy) assistant who does not take kindly to book tardiness, chewing with your mouth open and shuffling feet. Consider yourself forewarned if you choose to check out a book and not mind the due date. His unannounced visits have a reputation for tarnished egos and the occasional bruised shin.
