Deep within the forest, a clan of majestic owls protect all life sacred to Mother Earth. Ruler of this noble lineage is The Great Horned Owl, the bravest and truest warrior whose task is to lead the fight to rid the land of heinous monsters, dragons, and evil customs. The blue markings on his face was inspired by the movie, "Braveheart."
Personal Note: My inspiration for this painting stemmed from a painful experience in my life. I felt this great horned owl calling to me - to lend me strength and courage to see through deceptions and betrayal. As I look into his gaze, he reminds me that each one of us has a warrior's heart within us. Rise above whatever obstacle blocks our path to happiness. Refuse to become absorbed in the pain and anger. The owl is a powerful ally and friend who will stay by our side.
